business transactions paid conveniently for the City of Davao
Davao City, is a 1st class highly urbanized city on the island of Mindanao, Philippines.
The city has a total land area of 2,443.61 km2 (943.48 sq mi), making it the largest city in the Philippines in terms of land area. It is the third-most populous city in the Philippines after Quezon City and Manila, and the most populous in Mindanao. [9] As of 2020, the city has a population of 1,825,450.
Through the initiative of Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, and the entire Sangguniang Panglunsod, even before the covid-19 pandemic, is to have an online payment facility that makes payments to the city fast, transparent and convenient.
The City government of Davao initially partnered with the Land Bank of the Philippines which pave the way to the acceptance of online payments via the use of the Landbank-issued ATM cards.
Due to the increase of Filipino awareness on the use of Online payment facility, the City found it necessary to also accept payments via credit cards, other debit cards, and e-wallets.
Responding to the City’s call, the Development Bank of the Philippines offered their services to provide the acceptance of various credit card brands such as Visa, Mastercard, and JCB. They also provided the acceptance of debit cards and their very own DBP visa atm.
With DBP’s partnership with Paymaya, DBP also offered the acceptance of paymaya ewallet for Davao Businesses to have a wide range of payment options on which they are comfortable using.
